10 Ways That iZombie Is Basically Veronica Mars

7. Obligatory Psychotic Jack*ss

On Veronica Mars: Early on in Veronica Mars, fellow classmate and former friend Logan Echolls is introduced as Veronica's domestic arch-nemesis. Not-so-lovingly referred to by Veronica as Neptune High's "obligatory psychotic jack*ss," Logan is pretty irredeemably awful in the first half of the first season. Since vandalizing her car, slut-shaming her, and bullying her at every opportunity was somehow not enough to offset the crazy chemistry between Kristen Bell and Jason Dohring in the roles, Logan (mostly) reformed from his delinquent ways and took his place as romantic male lead of the series, prompting fans to epically portmanteau them as "LoVe." On iZombie: Early on in iZombie, Liv encounters something that she did not even believe possible: another zombie. Blaine DeBeers was the drug dealer who brought the tainted Utopium to the boat party and is therefore responsible for Liv's zombification as well as his own. His obligatory psychosis only gets worse as he builds an empire out of his zombism by creating more zombies and then fleecing them out of their savings in exchange for a supply of brains. Since Blaine is a murderer, it is unlikely that David Anders will be pulling a Jason Dohring and sweeping the heroine off of her feet in an epic love affair. "Bliv" will probably not catch many fans by storm.
