10 Ways The Boys TV Show Is Different From The Comics

3. Stormfront

Apart from her electrical powers and psychotic behaviour, the show's depiction of Stormfront has little in common with the original character.

Not only was Stormfront a male Nazi in the comic, he was the first Supe ever. The Nazi Party used Compound V to give him powers, intending to turn him into the nation's main protector.

At first, Hitler's advisors considered having Stormfront put down in case they couldn't control him, but they changed their mind when they saw how popular he was with the people.

Also, Stormfront was never a member of The Seven in the comics. The Aryan led his own team called Payback, and was frustrated because they were constantly sidelined by The Seven.

Although this conflict was implemented into the show, Stormfront was inserted into The Seven so her antagonism with Homelander would be more personal. The writing team also gender-swapped the character since the chauvinistic Homelander would be brought to his breaking point watching a woman steal his spotlight.

It's also worth mentioning that Stormfront was eventually killed by a giant Russian bartender called Love Sausage. (I promise that is true.)
