10 Weird Horror TV Shows That Are Worth Watching
1. Twin Peaks
David Lynch’s masterpiece is still, to this day, considered one of the greatest and most influential pieces of television ever made. It tops this list because it blends the everyday life of a small American town with a sinister murder mystery full of whacky characters and downright disturbing imagery.
On the surface, Twin Peaks seems like your normal dose of soap opera, there's a quaint little diner and a beautiful hotel all surrounded by a deep and lush pine forest and towering mountains. However, what lurks beneath this idyllic facade is a tale of murder and deception all controlled by some evil inter-dimensional happenings.
The characters are unreal and unconventional and have many strange quirks. There’s a woman that speaks to a prophesysing log of wood, an FBI agent with a hankering for coffee and cherry pie, and a strange red room where everyone speaks backward. And then there's Bob; a stalker who is not a man but more a terrifying demonic presence. Twin Peaks captivated viewers back in the early 90s and went on to influence a swathe of modern TV and film, but there’s still nothing quite like it.
