10 Worst Breaking Bad Episodes
6. Green Light
Green Light is the fourth episode in season three, was written by Sam Catlin, directed by Scott Winant and primarily revolves around the fallout of Walt's discovery of Skylar's affair with Ted.
Whilst Walt's moral compass is notoriously a bit skewed, Green Light is one of the few episodes in the Breaking Bad library where it is really hard to find him a likeable character, despite being on the wrong side of a cheating partner.
His attempted break-in and removal from Ted's office is a typical 'funny but in the wrong sort of way' moment that only Breaking Bad can deliver, however the rest of the episode is let down by a messy scene in which he tries to make a move on Carmen, the vice-principal at his school. He might be a heinous murderer and drug-dealing kingpin, but this one moment just felt completely out of Walt's nature and stuck out like a sore thumb.
There are a handful of good moments, with Jesse taking the lead on a new way of producing meth, Hank refusing his transfer to El Paso to stay on the Heisenberg trail and the likes of Gus and Saul being as brilliant as ever, but it doesn't save Green Light from being an episode where seldom few characters make it out good.
