10 Worst Breaking Bad Episodes

7. No Mas

Breaking Bad
AMC

The opening episode of season three, No Mas was written by Vince Gilligan, directed by Bryan Cranston and sees the introduction of Tuco Salamanca's infamous assassin cousins, Marco and Leonel Salamanca.

Set in the immediate aftermath of the Wayfarer 515 plane crash in the season two finale, undoubtedly one of the most memorable and harrowing moments in the history of the show, No Mas deals with the fallout of the incident. Walt delivers a cringe-worthy address to the high school he works at, and spends the majority of the episode struggling to come to terms with being kicked out of the family home by Skylar.

The episode also sees Jesse attend rehab for the first time since Jane's death, and deals with the personal hell he has to go through in coming to terms with who he is and what he has (supposedly) done.

No Mas scored a solid 8.8 rating upon release, and is an emotionally impactful return to the world of Breaking Bad after one of its most shocking moments. The pacing can be a little bit on the slow side however, even for an episode that is meant to be a 'cooling down' moment in the series, and there are some scenes that feel slightly redundant, such as Walt visiting Los Pollos Hermanos to tell Gus that he's out of the meth business.
