10 Worst Buffy The Vampire Slayer Villains

7. The Bezoar (Season 2, Episode 12)

Buffy The Vampire Slayer
Mutant Enemy

‘Bad Eggs’ is the dullest episode in Season 2. Aside from the continuation of Xander and Cordelia’s secret love affair, there isn’t much to enjoy here.

During class, Mr Whitmore gives each student an egg to look after. Supposedly, the purpose of this exercise is to teach the students how to be responsible. But it turns out these eggs are part of a sinister scheme orchestrated by the Bezoar, a slimy, one-eyed demon who uses its offspring to control people.

Rather like Machida, the major issue here is the lack of personality. Devoid of the ability to speak or express emotion, the Bezoar isn’t a compelling villain – it’s just a giant slimeball in the ground. And whilst it does possess the ability to grab people around the ankles with its tentacles, the Bezoar isn't much of a physical challenge, either.

With a few axe swings, the Slayer emerges victorious in a matter of seconds, and it’s safe to say that no one was particularly upset about the death of this boring villain.
