10 Worst CGI Moments In The Arrowverse
5. Arrow - Roy Harper's Dodgy Apparition
Arrow's 100th episode landed in the midst of the Invasion! crossover so the writers came up with an elaborate scheme to have the Dominators trap the cast of Arrow (and Legends of Tomorrow's Sara and Ray since they debuted on the show) in a dream sequence. Admittedly, this was a brilliant way of celebrating the milestone because it also allowed former cast members to return.
Whenever Oliver left the dreamscape to return to reality, he emotionally bid farewell to what was a pretty perfect dream only to be greeted by a wall of his loved ones reciprocating the emotion as some inspirational quotations from each one of them played over the top.
While the likes of Katie Cassidy, Susanna Thompson and Jamey Sheridan were able to return, Colton Haynes - who portrayed Roy Harper - could not. And thus, a stand-in was used while Roy's face was super-imposed over the top of it - and, well, needless to say it didn't look right.
The angling of Hayne's super-imposed head just doesn't match in any way with the body double and it is quite off-putting, especially since we were supposed to be concentrating on the emotional moment.
