9. Competitive Wine Tasting (Season 2 Episode 20)
Pierce and Jeff battle for the affections of a young woman by the name of Wu Mei. When she picks Pierce over Jeff, he suspects foul play and tries to get to the bottom of it. Troy and Britta, meanwhile try to find their real pain in an acting class and Abed destroys his professor's class titled "Who's the boss?" based on the TV sitcom.
Why it sucked: Another forgettable main plot about how Jeff believes Pierce is being manipulated. Whether it's by another woman, his cult or his step daughter, it feels like a waste of Pierce's character. He's at his best when he is a grumpy old man painfully out of place in the modern world not hopelessly grasping for any sign of affection. Although the premise of Abed being able to find an answer for the question "Who's the boss?", it doesn't warrant a whole C story.
What doesn't suck: The final scene which shows an all black version of Fiddler On The Roof came out of nowhere, in a good way. Also guest appearances by Stephen Tobolowsky and Kevin Corrigan were hilariously welcome cameos.
