10 Worst Episodes In The Stargate Franchise

2. Politics - Stargate SG-1

After inadvertently stepping through a 'Quantum Mirror', Daniel Jackson finds himself on an Earth where he never joined the Stargate Program, and an unfamiliar Carter and O'Neill head up this alternate SGA in the midst of Apophis' invasion of Earth. Narrowly escaping the devastation, Daniel is hurled back through the mirror where he is found by his team, and ominously declares that 'They are coming'.

Except... they would have to wait for the follow up clip show 'Politics' to finish.

Instead of going straight into the finale, season 1's penultimate episode introduces the human stain that is Senator Robert Kinsey, as he puts the team through a tiresome rigmarole to justify the dollar value of the SGC in... a clip show. Whilst not the only clip show on this list, the fact that it exists in SEASON ONE drastically reduces the number of clips it has access to and also diminishes their effectiveness as they'd only just been seen.

It turns out that this underwhelming slog was a way to save money for the incredibly successful finale, but following up such a delicious cliffhanger with this tale of admin puts Politics, an episode about as interesting as its title, firmly on this list
