10 Worst Friends Characters Who Appeared After Season 1
6. Eddie Menuek
After Joey moved our from his and Chandler's iconic apartment, Eddie Menuek was drafted into the Friends squad. Needless to say, his stay was a brief one.
The rebound roomie from hell, the initially shy Eddie swiftly revealed his true colours as a "fruit-drying psychopath", to quote everyone's favourite Friend. (Chandler, obviously). Alongside his obsession with dehydrating innocent groceries, Eddie had a tendency to deny reality like a MAGA enthusiast denies election results.
Eddie's mental reinterpretation of being thrown out by Chandler - in his mind, they went to Vegas and Chandler bought him new shoes with his winnings - was when he stopped being funny and became genuinely worrying. It was at this point that the audience realised Eddie wasn't simply quirky, he was genuinely mentally ill.
Needless to say, a character like that felt wildly out of place for a '90s primetime sitcom, and Eddie was swiftly shown the boot after this reveal.
Eddie was always more uncomfortable than entertaining, and his three-episode tenure felt at least two episodes too long.
