10 Worst Futurama Episodes
3. 31st Century Fox
There are certain subjects you can expect a show like Futurama to pick on, such as technology, artificial intelligence, politics and more. However, when watching this episode, it becomes clear that fox hunting shouldn't have been on their agenda, not only because it was far removed from the series but because they didn't have too much to say about it.
31st Century Fox is an odd episode that sees Bender join a fox hunting group after purchasing a hunting outfit while shopping for new uniforms. However, he's distraught to find out that the fox he'll be hunting is a robot, as are the horses and dogs he'll be using. In response, he sets up Bender's Animal Robot Front (B.A.R.F) and tries to take them down.
The episode ends up being full of twists, such as Bender becoming the new target of the hunt and the hunt-master turning out to be a robot himself, making the episode feel chaotic and improvised. It even concludes with the moral lesson that robot-on-robot violence is alright, which is incredibly anti-climactic.
It's an unfunny outing, with a poor lesson and very little to say about fox hunting itself, making you wonder why they'd even try to base an episode on the controversial issue.
