4. Ross Lied To Rachel About Getting An Annulment
Again, we are back to Ross and Rachel, and again it is Ross being an absolute ar*ehole. After getting drunk together in Las Vegas, the two end up at the Little White Chapel and tie the knot, beating Monica and Chandler to the punch.
Naturally, once sober, the two realise what a mistake this is. However, though Rachel wants to get a divorce, Ross doesn't want to have three failed marriages to his name before turning 30. After telling his wife that he has got them an annulment, he confesses to Phoebe that he hasn't, and is still secretly married to Rachel.
Lying about being still married to Rachel is one of the worst things Ross has done on the show, and what is worse still is the fact that he wasn't even the one to eventually tell her. She only found out because she was lucky enough to pick up the phone to his lawyer a few episodes later.
Understandably Ross struggles to come to terms with yet another failed marriage, but it should surely go without saying that staying secretly married to a wife who is none the wiser is not okay.
