10 Worst TV Shows Of 2018 (So Far)

1. Living Biblically

On paper Living Biblically's premise sounds like a studio comedy Jim Carrey would've starred in about a decade ago - a man suffers a mid-life crisis and decides to live exactly according to the Bible - but it's somehow even more cynical and lousy than that might suggest.

Loosely adapted from A. J. Jacobs' best selling book, this is an agonisingly rote CBS sitcom, doubling down on an aggressive laugh track to compensate for the appalling lack of actual laughs.

The cast is trying at least - though it's heartbreaking to see David Krumholtz slumming in this - but the premise and execution are so thoroughly uninspired it's tough to see who it was actually made for. Christians may deem it offputting, while others may find it too blandly inoffensive to be much fun.

In a word, rancid.
