10 Worst TV Shows Of 2018 (So Far)

2. Here And Now

Six Feet Under and True Blood's Alan Ball serves up a rare dud for HBO with this star-studded and admirably diverse yet shockingly sloppy drama series.

Ball mostly re-riffs on his prior successes with diminished returns in an intermittently intriguing yet offputtingly self-serious mixture of family drama and supernatural hokum.

Despite the efforts of the talented ensemble - led by Tim Robbins and Holly Hunter - Here and Now skirts depressingly close to self-parody with its comical lack of subtlety and Ball's most pretentious storytelling since that bloody plastic bag from American Beauty.

It's probably worth checking out an episode or two to experience the bizarre trainwreck for yourself, but was anyone at all surprised when HBO cancelled it?
