10 Worst TV Shows Of 2022
6. Blockbuster
It speaks volumes about the current state of streaming services that Netflix have unironically made a series championing Blockbuster, but I guess we can take some solace in the fact it probably won't get a second season.
Following a fictionalised version of the world's final Blockbuster store, the workplace comedy is so derivative and comedically unimaginative that it constantly teeters on the edge of cringe-worthy and plain forgettable.
Put it this way: When modern sitcom veterans Randall Park, Melissa Fumero and J.B. Smoove can't bring the laughs or capture any kind of complexity in their characters, you've got a disaster that needs to be put down.
If this is the only tribute Blockbuster gets on the small screen, it's safe it deserved a hell of a lot more. What a waste.
