10 Worst TV Spin-Offs Of All Time
2. That '80s Show
That '70s Show is excellent. It perfectly captures the spirit of the '70s with brilliant comedic performances from Topher Grace, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis.
So naturally, following it up with a series titled "That 80s Show" seems like a pretty good idea, right?
Wrong.
It lasted 13 episodes before it was axed, although anyone who has watched it would argue that it was probably 13 episodes too many.
Glenn Howerton of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia fame starred as Corey Howard, a struggling musician who lived with his father and sister. The show had a musical focus, although it was unable to capture the attention or the imagination of anyone that saw it, leading to awful ratings and, ultimately, cancellation.
It serves now as a testament to getting your casting and writing spot on instead of relying on a gimmick to sell a show.
