This was a problem as Nasubi did not speak the language, and just had to hope that the people running the contests would be able to read his entries. To give Nasubi at least a fighting chance, he was provided a pot of kimchi to eat just in case it took him a while to start winning food again. Nasubi was crushed by their request, but he still proceeded to strip naked and began entering contests once again. He was fearful over the language gap, but to his surprise the winnings actually started coming in. Within a week he had won catalogs along with bags upon bags of kimchi to eat. To the producer's surprise as well, Nasubi ended up destroying their original goal to pay them back and get airfare home, so instead of telling him he achieved his goal so soon, they decided to move the goalposts. Why let him fly economy when he could fly first class? Without his knowledge, the producers were setting his goal further and further away every time he reached it.
