10 WTF TV Episodes That Came Totally Out Of Nowhere

8. "Remedial Chaos Theory" - Community

Community's most peculiar episode is arguably also its best, the early season three episode "Remedial Chaos Theory," which examines seven different possible timelines stemming from Jeff's (Joel McHale) single dice roll.

Each of the timelines sees one member of the group heading downstairs to collect a pizza delivery, which affects the outcome of the night in hilariously unexpected ways.

The episode is of course most famous for creating the meme-worthy Darkest Timeline - a worst-case scenario universe featuring "evil" versions of the study group, as becomes a running joke throughout the rest of the series.

Though Community has had a penchant for weird experimental episodes throughout its run, this was extra even for the show's well-established meta standards.

But because audiences knew to expect the unexpected, few were left feeling short-changed by one of the most creative, clever, and downright hilarious sitcom episodes of the last decade.
