With the news breaking so quickly about the departure of Rose, a familiar face, albeit it an evil one may be just what the bat ordered to keep the show running and the fan-base faithful.

With a bit of creative writing a full retcon wouldn’t be necessary and it would certainly be a lot less jarring than a total recast. With the consistently erratic behaviour of Alice would it really be so hard to believe she could take up her sister’s mantle out of her usual twisted idea of respect.

With such an unstable personality wearing the cape and cowl, she could also head down the Jason Todd route as reluctant hero/vigilante with no qualms about dealing out some fatal justice, aggravating the Crows even further.

Let’s not forget too that even if the Arrowverse decided to turn her full hero, Skarsten already has that licked from her experience as New Gotham's Black Canary in the criminally underrated Birds of Prey (go watch it, it’s good! Honest!).
