11 Annoying Mistakes You Never Noticed In Game Of Thrones

5. Rampant Homosexuality

HBO

In the universe in which Game of Thrones is set homosexuality is frowned upon severely. It€™'s okay to act upon your desires in Dorne, but in King€™'s Landing and the rest of Westeros it is regarded as a sin. Yet everybody seems to know that Renly was gay and he still had a large following anyway.

Surely it can€™'t be that big of a sin then? If it was, Robert and Stannis would have done away with Renly when they first became aware of his sexuality. What'€™s worse though is that both Olenna and Tywin are apparently aware of Loras'€™ sexuality and yet they continue to let him live. We know that the law is strictly governed in King€™'s Landing €“ hell, dozens are innocent babies are slaughtered because of their bastard claim on the Iron Throne.

And yet this homosexuality is allowed to go unpunished. In the third season Joffrey regards Renly as a €œdegenerate€ which shows that he at least is repulsed. And yet he still continues to do nothing about it.
