11 Best Doctor Who Dalek Stories

5. The Stolen Earth / Journey's End (2008)

Damn those pesky planet-stealing Daleks, anyhow! First they try to take the Earth in 1964, then they up and do it in 2008! Different reason for doing it, of course, and this time Davros is along, but they still do it. Granted, this one might have gone a little over-the-top trying to include as many old and new companions as it could in one story, and personally we gladly would have foregone seeing someone again (say, Jackie) to get that planned but deleted scene of Davros as a young man before his life-changing accident (read more about that here). But as far as making the Daleks into a credible menace again, this story goes a long way, and Julian Bleach's turn as Davros is so close to Michael Wisher's that he might as well be channeling. And not that anyone cared what happened to the Dalek who temporal-shifted at the end of Evolution of the Daleks, but this story resolves that little plot thread, too. And Rose finally gets her Doctor. Just a shame about Donna, though. Speaking of Davros...
