7. The Jeopardy Room
A really atypical episode, more like a contemporary Cold War thriller than a Twilight Zone episode. Martin Landau is a defector trapped in a hotel room by a KGB executioner who would rather play with his victim than just finish him off and have done with it (film is full of such characters). After the executioner takes the usual 10 minutes to explain all his plans, he promises Landau that a chance to escape lies in the room, if he can find it before time runs out.
It almost goes without saying that Landau makes it out alive, and the executioner doesn’t.
HOW COLORIZATION COULD HELP: Due to Landau's work on Mission Impossible, as well as the really Un-Twilight-Zoney nature of the episode, the entire thing would work just as well if not better in color.
