Buster Keaton is a janitor in the 1890s, where real life is shown as a silent movie, complete with dialogue cards. He makes use of an experimental time helmet that allows him to spend 30 minutes in the future (1961), where he has the usual harrowing adventures, and meets a modern day man who wants to go back with him, thinking that the grass would be greener in 1890 (since it’s in black and white, it isn’t).

HOW COLORIZATION COULD HELP: Both the modern day and the 1890s look old fashioned, due to the fact that both are in black and white. Therefore, to show more contrast between the present and past, colorize the 1960s sequences, and leave the 1890s in black and white.
