4. Ian Whyte

Ian Whyte has made a name for himself as one of the biggest stars on screen...literally. The former British basketball player began his career as a stunt performer in Alien vs Predator, and a year later he could be seen (sort of) in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, as he filled-in for Frances de la Tour in the full body shots of Madame Maxime, the headmistress of Beauxbatons Academy.

On Game of Thrones he has had an even bigger part to play, not just in terms of the size of the characters but in screentime as well. In seasons 1 and 2 he played the scary, old-looking White Walker, and also in the second season he was Gregor Clegane, replacing Conan Stevens who was unavailable due to scheduling conflicts.

He's since been replaced as the Mountain by Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, but he has continued to appear on Thrones, as Dongo the giant in seasons 3 and 4, and Wun Wun in season 5.
