11 Great TV Shows Starring The Cast Of The Big Bang Theory

4. Christine Baranski (Beverly) - Cybill

The Flight Attendant
CBS

Of the many guest stars The Big Bang Theory had, Christine Baranski was among the most memorable. Portraying Leonard's mother (and his counsellor), Beverly uses her astounding psychological skills to put everyone in their place without the slightest effort. Baranski's comic timing is so precise, it's no surprise she was nominated for an Emmy four times.

Even though it's always an honour to be nominated for an Emmy, this was nothing new for Baranski since she already received the award for her scene-stealing performance as Maryanne in Chuck Lorre's sitcom, Cybill. In the show, Cybill Shepherd plays the titular character - a struggling actress, who often finds herself seeking guidance from her daughters and ex-husbands.

Despite the fact the show was meant to be a vehicle for Cybill Shepherd, it was Christine Baranski who dominated the series. Her drunken antics as Cybil's best friend are so hilarious, the character helped turn Baranski into a recognised star. Even though she was a stand out in The Big Bang Theory, you should watch Cybil to see Christine Baranski at her absolute best.
