In 2019, Netflix released an anthological drama called Criminal. The show is separated into four mini-series- Criminal: UK, Criminal: France, Criminal: Germany, and Criminal: Spain. Each episode centres around a confrontation between police investigators and a suspect in an interrogation office.
Because Kit Harington's face was splashed over all the posters for Season 2, many people watched Criminal: UK purely to check out the Game of Thrones hunk. However, viewers were astonished to see The Big Bang Theory's Kunal Nayyar leaving the biggest impact. The London-born actor portrays Sandeep Singh - a convicted murderer who uses mind games with the police to try and cut a deal.
Seeing Nayyar go all-in with this performance isn't just impressive - it's surreal. He's so far removed from the quirky and timid Raj Koothrappali we all know, it's hard to believe it's the same person. His work was so impressive, it even earned him a BAFTA TV award.
