11 Important Things To Remember About Game Of Thrones Before Watching Season 7

4. Maggy The Frog's Prophecy For Cersei

Game Of Thrones Season 7
HBO

“The King will have twenty children and you will have three. Gold will be their crowns and gold will be their shrouds.”

Well, Maggy The Frog was certainly right about Cersei and her children. Robert Baratheon did have tens of bastards, meanwhile Cersei did have three children with Jaime… golden haired ones who are all dead.

But, there are two prophecies which have not yet happened. Confirming that Cersei will become Queen, Maggy also announced that she’ll later be replaced by another woman who is younger and more beautiful. Foolishly, Cersei mistook this forecasted Queen to be Margaery, when in truth it is probably Daenerys.

However, the most exciting and intriguing part about Cersei’s prophesied future is the Valonqar. In-spite-of not being mentioned in the television show, “Valonqar” means “Little Brother” in High Valyrian, indicating that Cersei’s death will come at the hands of Tyrion.

Although Cersei’s hatred of Tyrion is said to have stemmed from Joanna Lannister dying after having given birth to the disfigured dwarf, it is more than likely that Cersei has always feared Tyrion because of Maggy’s forecast.

But, with Cersei being older than Jaime by mere minutes, it could instead be her lover who ends up wrapping his hands around her throat – and not in a kinky way.

Regardless of who it is, Maggy’s prophecy is essential to remember because season 7 is odds-on to complete it.
