There's always one. These irritating personalities are prominent in every fandom as the insufferable "wise guys" who think they know all there is to know about Doctor Who and its ever evolving mythology. They usually start a sentence with "Actually..." before totally annihilating your opinions and listing, usually in order of stupidity, everything that was wrong about what you said. They get things wrong sometimes, too, of course, but it's always swiftly forgotten and omitted into the realms of the Medusa Cascade. There's no point even trying to get through to these, so you might as well quit while you're ahead and get on with your life. Sometimes it's just easier to admit defeat.
