Just before Annika died, she gives Norma the USB drive which of course, contains all of the names of the wealthy criminals in White Pine Bay. This leads to Norma taking on Bob Paris by bargaining the closure of the bypass and a swimming pool for her motel in order for him to get back the USB. If you needed proof that single mothers were tough cookies then you needn't look any further. In order to save her business and her family, Norma literally takes on the mafia of White Pine Bay, all for a swimming pool. At least she gets it, with the help of Romero of course.
