11 Simple Fixes That Would Have Saved Marvel's Iron Fist

5. Go To K'un-Lun

The show leans very heavily on a 'tell, don't show' method of storytelling, which leads to a number of problems, the biggest of which is the fact that we hardly ever go the mystical city of K'un-Lun.

We get a couple of establishing shots of the place, we see it at the very end of Danny's trial (but really that could be anywhere), and then by the end of the season it's disappeared, leaving us with a literal cliffhanger.

K'un-Lun is one of the Seven Cities of Heaven, and it's where Danny went missing, grew up, and became the Iron Fist. It's an intrinsic part of the Iron Fist character, and it should've been an intrinsic part of this show too. We hear about the place's importance, yet it's hard to buy that when we never actually see it.

If the show wanted to convince us of the Iron Fist's status and power, make itself more diverse, help us understand its lead character, and explore the mystical side of things, then actually spending time in K'un-Lun was an easy way to achieve that.
