The seventh season of The Walking Dead had a lot of meandering episodes, spent at just one location and often focusing on a character or two. It's an approach that can occasionally work when you have a fascinating subject, such as Season 6's Morgan-centric Here's Not Here, but not so when you're building a whole episode around Tara.

Tara, for f**k's sake.

Tara.

The baffling decision to spend an entire hour with a character who at best serves as comic relief is never once justified. The episode introduces us to the damp squib that is Oceanside, includes another ridiculous fakeout moment (this time with Heath), offers no story progression and, despite Alanna Masterson's best efforts and comic timing, is fairly exhausting to watch.
