12 Actors Who Hated Their Own TV Characters

7. David Harewood - Cyborg Superman (Supergirl)

Before he played the part of Martian Manhunter in The CW's Supergirl, character actor David Harewood appeared in the show's second season as the villainous Cyborg Superman, and gave a very honest assessment of his dissatisfaction with the character. He said:

"I don't like playing Cyborg Superman...It's boring. They didn't really flesh it out, they didn't really write for the character. They just gave me this rather cheap-looking mask and no costume, and said, 'OK, you're Cyborg Superman.' It didn't really pan out...I was very excited about it at first, but then I very quickly realised that there wasn't really much to it, so it's kind of boring. Whenever I'm walking to my trailer and I see that costume, I just switch off. Because I know it's going to be a really boring day."

I mean, looking at that mask, can you really blame the guy? At least his current role as J'onn J'onzz gives him more to sink his teeth into.
