12 Actors You Didn't Know Were Almost Cast In Star Trek
11. Chris Pratt
Chris Pratt is part of a very exclusive group in Hollywood. He’s one of a handful of men named Chris who are considered for just about every blockbuster leading role.
As such, Pratt auditioned for the role of Kirk in the 2009 Star Trek reboot. He didn’t get the role, and it went to Chris Pine, instead. And, of course, Chris Hemsworth made his appearance as George Kirk in the film
No word on how Chris Evans feels about all this.
It's worth noting that Hemsworth also auditioned for the role of James Kirk. He lost the part, but later when Abrams was casting the role of Kirk's father, he called Hemsworth back.
Apparently, Abrams was interested because he thought Hemsworth and Pine looked alike. Hemsworth read one scene at Abrams' desk and got the part.
