Roddy McDowall was a prolific British actor, but, he’s probably best known for his role as Cornelius, and later Ceaser, in the original Planet Of The Ape films.

McDowall started his career early. Around the age of nine actually. And, he was prolific from a young age. He starred in four films alone, in the year 1938, at the age of ten!

Over the years McDowall was thought of for several roles in Star Trek. He was considered for a character called Trelane in the original series. And later directors looked at him for the voice of Armus in the TNG episode, “Skin Of Evil.”

Finally, McDowall was considered, and even auditioned for, the role of Odo in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
