1. Fargo - Season 3

Another TV show that many doubted would work, this one spins the Coen brothers classic Fargo into entirely new tales - and works just as well as the movie, if not even better.

Coming from the genius mind of Noah Hawley (who recently give us the brilliant Legion too), the first two seasons of the Minnesota crime caper were stunning, featuring an array of madcap characters and an ever-escalating murderous plot.

Season 3 doesn't look like it'll stray too far from the winning formula. Set in 2010, it'll focus on two brothers: one the handsome, wealthy, self-made Parking Lot King of Minnesota, the other a pot-bellied, down-on-his-luck parole officer. Both of them played by Ewan McGregor.

As per the official synopsis, "their sibling rivalry follows a twisted path that begins with petty theft but soon leads to murder, mobsters and cutthroat competitive bridge." It all sounds and looks like everything we've come to love, with a glorious new cast including Carrie Coon, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and a very creepy David Thewlis. This year the show could be going full-Fargo, and that's definitely a good thing.
