12 Awesome Robots From TV History

3. Cylons - Battlestar Galactica and Caprica

As a kid watching the original Battlestar Galactica, I considered the Cylons as the ultimate evil. That menacing faceplate with the nerve-wracking red light drove me to nightmares. Cylon Halloween costumes and mechanical banks were everywhere. I hated them. Of course, now that I realize I am also a Cylon, I feel a little better about it all.

2. Fembots - The Bionic Woman

Remember the fembots? No, I'm not talking about the Austin Powers movies, I'm talking about the REAL fembots from The Bionic Woman in the 1970's - those evil, rip-off-my-face-and-I-don't-care gynoids that haunted school cafeteria lunch room conversations for days after an episode aired. Yes, the "special effects" and "makeup" are cheesy and downright unprofessional, but the concept was great - so great that Mike Myers decided to use them in Austin Powers.
