12 Awful TV Shows That Were Cancelled Before You Even Saw Them
8. Ev And Ocho
This reality show was supposed to show the delightful relationship between Chad Johnson aka Ocho Cinco and his wife, ex-Basketball Wives star Evelyn Lozada. Celebrity couples are always engaging to watch, especially when they're loving and sweet with one another... No wait, sorry - Ocho Cinco just got arrested for domestic violence. Well, this is awkward. No, but seriously. VH1 made eleven episodes of the sporting/marital reality TV show, all ready for it to air on VH1 back in 2012. but then, a mere three weeks before the show was due to air, Ocho was arrested for head-butting his wife, leaving noticeable lacerations on her forehead, which threw something of a gigantic spanner in the works. Naturally, Lozada filed for divorce mere days after the incident, signalling the death of Ev And Ocho, both as a couple and as a show. Obviously no celebrity couple reality show is going to be able survive the complete breakdown of its stars' relationship, and VH1 immediately shelved the show before any episodes were aired, because they've clearly got a lot more class than about 90% of their competitors in the same market who probably would have just screened the show anyway and used the assault and divorce as a marketing opportunity.
