12 Best British Sitcoms Of All Time
10. Extras
Ricky Gervais is known for his comedic prowess and creating some world class television like The Office, An Idiot Abroad and Derek, but there’s always one that doesn’t seem to get mentioned as much as the others: Extras.
As we follow the life of actors trying to break into the world of showbiz, starting out as extras in movie productions, we get to see Gervais interact with big time stars like Samuel L. Jackson, Ian McKellen, and Orlando Bloom, among many others. Each episode seemed to shock us in some way, and forced us to laugh at the same time.
There's something that really tickles the funny bone about this show, and seeing Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe become a smoker or Kate Winslet demonstrating her best dirty talk are part of the package when it comes to Extras. It gives you a look inside Gervais' mind once again, something that the British public can't seem to get enough of (and understandably so).
