9. Blackadder
Before being known as Mr Bean, Rowan Atkinson was more commonly known as Edmund Blackadder - the wise-cracking character who always got the last word during many different time periods. Each series is set in a different era of British history, and Blackadder is always a decendent of the previous incarnation. Rowan Atkinson is really at his best here.
The reason for it being on this list is due to its great contribution to British culture, and the way it influenced sitcoms for years to come. The one-liners were better than those you'll find in Marvel movies, and you could be damn sure that no matter what series you’re watching, Mr Blackadder will have you in absolute fits of laughter.
