12 Cartoons You Definitely Watched In The 90s

1. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

The heroes in a half-shell (Turtle Power) are the coolest, rad-est, rag-tag bunch of sewer-dwelling mutants you could ever imagine. The pizza loving quartet graced our screens from the late eighties through to €™96, gaining a massive fan base among that generation of cartoon lovers. Michelangelo, Leonardo, Donatello and Raphael live below the streets of New York with Master Splinter, their mutated rat sensei. Splinter has turned the Turtles into a crime-fighting foursome, and they utilise their ninja skills to help clean up the streets of the Big Apple. They€™re also involved in an on-going battle with Shredder, and his bad guy buddies from Dimension X. TMNT is a classic. The dynamic between the four heroes is fantastic, each one with a completely individual personality. The wise-cracking gags and sarcastic humour provide a great backdrop to the all-out animated action. There's never a dull moment with the giant green reptiles; when they're not beating up Bebop, they love to party. Michael Bay is the next director lined up to ruin these awesome guys.
