12 Cartoons You Definitely Watched In The 90s

2. Animaniacs

The show that launched Pinky and the Brain was, in its own right, one of the greatest cartoons of its time. It stars Yakko, Wakko and Dot, three crazy cartoon stars who were locked away in the Warner Bros. water-tower until they escaped. Running from 1993 to €™98, Animaniacs was one of the most important cartoons of the 90€™s generation, launching many a character€™s career. Wacky and absurd, informative and educational (check out Yakko singing all the countries of the world), Animaniacs had it all. Often meeting real life Hollywood employees, the trio's adventures constantly played with the notion of the fourth wall. Full of pop culture references and jokes, the show was a never-ending run of riotous entertainment. Slapstick abound, Animaniacs was a smart cartoon, gaining favour among adult audiences as well. But it always catered to its younger fans. Often containing mini-episodes within episodes, it was full to the brim of unrelenting energy.
