12 Critically Reviled Sci-Fi TV Shows (That Weren't Actually That Bad)
2. Ghosted
This paranormal sitcom from Hot Tub Time Machine 2 co-stars
Craig Robinson and Adam Scott boasts the questionable accolade of being the most
recent addition to this list, and we here at WhatCulture have slammed that
famous sequel enough times to understand why the pairing would raise some
suspicion amongst comedy fans who have been burnt before.
But despite the brutal drubbing the show received from critics and its subsequent swift cancellation, Ghosted is actually closer to the two actor’s appearances in Park and Recreation and Brooklyn 99 than that misjudged 2015 sci-fi comedy dud.
Playing a pair of supernatural investigators, one a cynic and the other a true believer (naturally), Scott and Robinson have an easy, affable chemistry which makes the show’s “monster of the week” format fun and inventive, and the show deserved more than its brief sixteen episode run to prove its potential—add this to the list of unfairly maligned one season wonders.
