12 Doctor Who Characters You Miss More Every Day

2. Donna Noble

Well, isn't that wizard!? Doctor Who companions don't get much better than this! First introduced as the brash runaway bride-to-be in the 2006 festive escapade, Donna Noble was reinstated as the Tenth Doctor's full time companion in Series 4 and, for one shining moment, she was the most important person in the whole wide universe. See. Not too shabby for someone who had written herself off as "just a temp from Chiswick". The fact she was so "ordinary" ultimately resulted in her defeating Davros and his almighty army of Daleks but it all proved to be too much for her in the end when the Doctor was forced to wipe her memories of their time together. But oh, it was fun while it lasted! The Doctor and Donna became best friends and they always had each other's backs during times of need. She would've travelled with him forever - 'the DoctorDonna' - if the harsh realities of destiny hadn't gotten in the way, and you'd have been hard pressed to find a fan who wouldn't have jumped at the chance to see another series (and then a couple of more) of David Tennant and Catherine Tate's extra terrestrial escapades. In fact, Series 4 was recently voted the greatest series of NuWho to date which pretty much speaks for itself. Just don't tell Donna, though, because informing her that she's one of the most popular companions to date just isn't worth the risk of her brain exploding. She's happy now, anyway, which is all that matters. She's still sorely missed, though.
