Oh, Osgood. We hardly knew ye. That statement couldn't be further from the truth, either, since she's only appeared in a grand total of two episodes to date. As epic as they both were, to say that she's 'gone before her time' would be the understatement of the century. She couldn't have picked a better episode to make her Whoniversal debut, though. She first burst onto our screens - and subsequently into our Whovian heart(s) - during 2013's momentous 50th anniversary special, The Day of the Doctor, in which she was introduced as a UNIT scientist and Kate Stewart's personal assistant. Things went from bad to worse for this amicable asthmatic, though, when she was cloned by a Zygon and then, upon her return in last year's Series 8 finale, managed to remain on our screens for all of 10 minutes before she was mercilessly shot on sight by Michelle Gomez's malevolent Missy. Why oh why are the good always the first to go!? Fans were readily campaigning for her to become the Doctor's new companion before she popped her clogs for seemingly no apparent reason. Steven Moffat obviously decided that he hadn't made her suffer enough already after making us fall in love with her in all her Time Lord inspired accessory wearing glory. Is there any chance it was actually the Zygon Osgood that Missy killed? Let's keep our fingers crossed.
