10. Ross' Insane Jealousy
While dating Ross during season three, though happy in her love life, Rachel was incredibly unhappy with her career. After working in the coffee house for a number of years, she left for a career in the fashion industry, only to find it was simply another place for her to make coffee.
By a stroke of luck, Rachel happened to be sitting in Monica's diner at the right time, as she met Mark, who was able to get her a job at Bloomingdale's. This was a huge move for Rachel, and one that should have sparked as much joy and relief for her boyfriend as it did for her.
However, Ross was unlike most boyfriends. Instead of being happy for his partner, he decided to focus on the fact that it was another male that helped her, and his journey through insane jealousy with no real reason for it began. This really made the character look like a dick, and his inability to move past it was one of the key reasons Rachel asked for a break.
It's ironic that Ross would be the jealous one, since out of the two of them, he was the cheater. Maybe he was worried about Rachel cheating because he'd have considered if the situation was reversed?
