3. Doctor Who Ornaments
If you're planning a Doctor Who themed Christmas then these are essential. There have been Dalek, TARDIS and K9 ornaments available for a while, but there are a couple more coming this year. Some might say invading your Christmas Tree with Daleks is going one step too far, but is it really? One of the few benefits of the new technicolour Daleks is that their bright colours mean that they can actually blend in on your Tree and look appropriately festive and jubilant. Another good point is that since the show was revived in 2005 it has been broadcast on Christmas Day, every year since. So it is as much an integral part of Christmas and the Two Ronnies or the Great Escape. Therefore the Whoniverse deserves pride of place on your tree. Now I'm going to sound quite soft, Doctor Who, a family programme has gone some way to change the idea that families don't do things together anymore. If you want to encourage the family to get involved in decorating the Christmas tree and prevent it feeling like a chore, make the Dalek bauble the little fan in the family's job and responsibility. Once a year they will get excited about digging that Dalek ornament out of the bottom of the box of decorations and finding the perfect place to put it on the tree. But also taking the tree down, you need to call in your Whovian decorator to put your Dalek ornament into hibernation. Like I said, it's soft but it's the kind of yearly event or tradition that your family will come to look back fondly on. Just a suggestion. There are many ornaments currently available. As well as Daleks, there are Cybermen, the TARDIS, the Sonic Screwdriver and the Doctor himself.
