6. Steven Yeun's Father Thanked Melissa McBride For "Saving" His Son
This is a very simple but utterly wholesome story that gives you an eye into the relationship between the incredible Steven Yeun and his folks. It must be hard to see your son in danger every week on television - Lucille's meeting with Glenn was probably a horrid watch - but that makes this tale even sweeter.
You'll no doubt recall when Carol went full boss mode and managed to save Glenn, alongside the other survivors, from the Terminus compound. Well, two people who certainly remember are Steven Yeun's parents, who used to watch the show faithfully. They even went as far as to find bootlegged Korean subtitled versions so they could stay up to date on their son's work.
After the epic episode, Yeun's father asked him to send his personal thanks to Melissa McBride for "saving his son". Of course, Yeun reminded his dad that it was all a show, but he still insisted, and Yeun obliged.
