7. Statues Are Secretly Out To Get You
One of Doctor Who's most notorious traits is its effortless ability to make its viewers terrified of things they come across in their day to day life. Thanks to the writers (though let's face it, it's mostly Steven Moffat who is to blame - *shakes fists*!), you'll never quite be able to look at drawings, bins or that crack in your bedroom wall in the same way again... and then there's that small task of having to walk past that harmless statue in your town centre which is now all of a sudden the most petrifying prospect known to mankind. After all, who's to say it isn't actually a Weeping Angel who is watching... waiting... and poised to attack you as soon as your back is turned? It's absolutely bonkers, of course, but it's genuinely a problem that a Doctor Who fan goes through on a daily basis. Alas, telling your friends who are adamant that "it's just a statue" that "that's what it wants you to think!" doesn't get you very far, either. All you can do is suck it up and hope for the best. Oh, and try not to blink, too. Blink and you're dead. They are fast. Faster than you can believe. Don't- oh, you know the speech.
