It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia really has no right to be as successful and addictive as it is. Here we have a show based around five awful people who do terrible things for selfish reasons, little to no character development, excessively dark humour and, you know what? It’s fantastic.

The hilarious antics of Mac, Charlie, Dee, Dennis and Frank have left fans in stitches since 2006, with Season 14 having recently been released. This isn’t some family-friendly sitcom filmed in front of a live studio audience either. The team are happy to tackle tough subjects such as racism, homophobia, sexual assault and drug addiction; successfully putting a funny twist on each of these scenarios.

Whilst this is not for the faint-hearted or easily offended, the show is highly re-watchable, much like its cleaner sitcom counterparts. With that being the case, eagle-eyed fans have of course come across plenty of tiny details and Easter eggs that were surely only spotted after multiple viewings. The internet is awash with these subtle secrets, so we’ve picked through them and found 12 of the best.

Cut yourself a slice of rum ham and see how many of these entries you noticed yourself, jabroni.
