12 Small Details You Only Notice Rewatching Parks & Recreation

9. Jamm's North Korea Poster

Jeremy Jamm is all about looking cool, and from his hair to his teeth, there's nothing he cares about more than his image. It's no surprise then that his home is just as much of a statement as the rest of his life. It's already been established in the show that Jamm loves anything vaguely Asian, which to him all comes under the umbrella of "Japanese", a gag which is pushed to the limit in the Season 6 episode, The Cones of Dunshire.

Leslie ends up visiting the home of her arch-nemesis, which is decked out in whatever "Japanese" paraphernalia Jamm could get his hands on. Of course, there are plenty of cultural inaccuracies that the councillor doesn't seem to grasp, but the biggest one is a poster that can be spotted while he's making a "traditional Japanese breakfast".

He's partly correct that the poster is indeed written in Kanji, which is used primarily in Japanese writing, but the only problem is it actually says "North Korea".
